Refresh Sched throughout the Competition to see any last-minute changes
Sponsors, faculty, and students must register in person at workshop during one of our registration windows. If you can’t make one, please reach out to Organizers so we are aware you will be arriving at an off time.
We live off of Feedback - Please consider providing it for sessions in which you participate
Navigating Sched - General:
Use the Schedule feature and filters to sign up for relevant sessions.
Each training session is categorized by Type (i.e. Event, Presentation, Roundtable, Training - Swimlane Grouped, Training & Workshops - School Grouped)
Event - These are required by everyone
Presentations - Each team should have 5 graded events on their schedule. Entire team is encouraged to be in the presentation and should sign up for their session (for headcount purposes). Teams may not attend other team’s presentations.
Training - Swimlane Grouped - Each team should determine which member goes to which session. All teams are required to have at least one member present for every session.
Training & Workshops - School Grouped - Teams are required to sign up for the sessions that are assigned to them. All training material will be posted for all schools to have available.
In order to view your personalized schedule after signing up for classes: Hover over the profile picture and click "My Schedule".
Note: "All" shows all events under that category. Do not rely on this track filter to sign-up for sub-teams required trainings.
This training will introduce attendees to the modeling of thermal runaway propagation (TRP) in GT. Participants will gain a theoretical understanding of the key components involved in modeling thermal runaway and engage in a live demonstration of a practical example solution designed to prevent TRP in a battery module.

This training will provide users with an introduction to vibration theory and modelling of battery modules for mechanical vibration analysis in GT. The training will cover both time-domain and frequency-domain analysis to evaluate the dynamic response of battery systems under various conditions. Users will have the opportunity to incorporate core vibration principles and conduct modal analysis on battery modules through a live demonstration.

The training will include a brief review of how to thermally model the Breaktor component, packaging considerations, and then move into how to control the Breaktor contactor and the diagnostic signals it provides. The content will cover the sequencing for actuating/de-actuating the Breaktor, as well as a detailed discussion on the different diagnostic outputs the Breaktor produces. Intent is to have hardware on hand to demonstrate control and diagnostics.
